Keto Foods You Can ONLY Find At Sams Club

Sams Club has a new keto-friendly line of foods that is only available at their stores. If you’re looking for the best keto food options, this might be your best bet.

Keto foods are a diet that is high in fat and low in carbs. You can only find these foods at Sam’s Club.

We wanted to know if a Sam’s Club membership was truly worth it, especially for someone on a ketogenic diet. We visited this popular wholesale food shop and have compiled a list of our top ten Keto Sam’s Club purchases as well as a list of what to avoid.

When it comes to bulk price, Sam’s Club is similar to Costco, and it provides a lot of our favorite keto staples and snacks. Before you get too enthusiastic, have a look at our list of things to stay away from. We’ll help you decipher nutrition facts and ingredient lists so you don’t make any mistakes.

What to Buy at Sam’s Club for Keto

1. Meats

  • Meats that have already been cooked
  • Ground Organic Grass-Fed Beef
  • Only $5.00 for rotisserie chicken!
  • Sausages de Kiolbassa
  • Packs of Charcuterie Meat

Sam’s Club has a large selection of pre-cooked meats that could be used in salads, quick lunches, and dorm room dinners. The following meats are low-carb and can help busy folks who don’t have much time to cook follow the keto diet.

  • Pork Pulled
  • Legs of Smoked Turkey
  • Beef Sirloin Sous Vide
  • Fajitas de carne de boeuf
  • Strips of beef and chicken
  • Chops de porc

2. Sam’s Club Keto Snacks

We were pleased with Sam’s Club’s snack selection, especially because they included some of our favorite pork sticks.

Rinds of pork

Pork rinds are great for dipping into our Brie Taco Dip or our Buffalo Chicken Dip. They’re also great as a crunchy topping for Keto Mac and Cheese or as a breading for Sweet and Sour Pork.

Look for pork rinds that have been cooked in their own fat, or “lard,” rather than refined seed oils like soybean or canola oil, which can be harmful to your health. Only pork, salt, and seasoning should be listed on the ingredient list.

Snacks with Cheese

Sam’s Club had a great range of cheeses, which earned us substantial keto points. When you’re in a hurry or on the road, we think cheese is the best snack.

  • Cheese Strings & Sticks
  • Crispy Parmesan
  • Fingers Panino
  • Cheese from Grass-Fed Cows

3. Sam’s Club Keto Drinks

It’s always fun to test out a new keto beverage, and Sam’s Club offered a fantastic assortment of our favorites.

4. Fats & Oils at Sam’s Club

Most supermarket stores have a decent cooking oil option, and we located a few at Sam’s Club. When buying for cooking oil, it’s crucial to know what to look for. Quality is determined in two ways: pricing and processing. Our Healthy Cooking Oils Guide is a fantastic place to start.

  • Coconut Oil, Organic Cold-Pressed and Unrefined
  • Avocado Oil is one of the best vegetable oils for high-temperature cooking.
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil — To assure freshness, look for a dark, compact bottle.
  • Kerry Gold Butter — Butter from grass-fed cows has more fat-soluble vitamins.

Coconut oil is a mainstay in our keto kitchen because we use it to make fat bombs and add it to our bulletproof coffees and teas practically every day. Choose refined coconut oil if you don’t want a strong coconut flavor.

5. Nuts that are Keto-Friendly

Keto-friendly nuts abound at Sam’s Club, but be wary of additional additives like sunflower oil and soybean oil. When it comes to roasted nuts and nut butters, a simple ingredient list of nuts and salt is your best bet.

  • Pre-portioned Almond Packets — This is a great alternative because nuts are easy to consume too much of.
  • Butter made from almonds
  • Sam’s Club has 3 pound containers of finely sifted almond flour on sale for $13.00.

To ensure optimal texture and consistency in our low-carb baking recipes, we always buy “super fine” almond flour. If you unintentionally use “almond meal,” many keto recipes will not come out the same.

Coconut flour is another excellent wheat flour substitute. It’s still low in carbs, but it’s not as high in calories as almond flour.

6. Cauliflower, pre-riced from frozen

Cauliflower is a low-carb vegetable that can be used to substitute high-carb meals like potatoes and wheat in keto diets. Sam’s Club had a large bag of frozen, pre-riced cauliflower, which is a great value if you’ve ever cooked an entire head of cauliflower into rice.

Serve it with Keto Butter Chicken, Keto Fried Rice, or Coconut Chicken Curry if cauliflower doesn’t make you feel bloated.

7. Sam’s Club Bacon

Whether you’re looking for pre-cooked bacon for quick breakfasts or bacon bits for salads, you’ll find it at Sam’s Club.

Bits of Bacon

Megha enjoys them in her Egg Salad, but they’re also delicious in omelettes and pizza.

Bacon Strips That Have Already Been Cooked

Large cartons of pre-cooked bacon were available at Sam’s Club, which we believe would be great for weekday breakfasts before work or school. Serve them with Egg Bites that have been prepared ahead of time.

Bacon in its natural state

Avoid “maple” flavored bacon, which tends to be higher in sugar, but don’t get too wrapped up in finding high-quality bacon. Although most generic brands utilize a small amount of sugar to cure the meat, a few slices will not disrupt your ketosis.

8. Sam’s Club Sweeteners

Truvia erythritol packets, which are ideal for traveling on the road and adding to coffees, were fortunately available at Sam’s Club.

For a variety of reasons, liquid stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol are our preferred sweeteners. Use flavored liquid stevia to enhance your morning coffee or treats.

Stevia has a harsh aftertaste for some people, and erythritol causes digestive pain for others. Baking using a stevia and erythritol combination ensures that there is no bitter aftertaste and that digestion is facilitated.

9. Seasonings in bulk

It’s a tried and true strategy to stock the cupboard with bulk seasonings from Sam’s Club. When you’re trying out new keto recipes, spices like cinnamon, curry powder, and chile will come in handy.

When people start the keto diet, they tend to cook a lot more. It eliminates the confusion of how much sugar is in a restaurant dish and allows you to personalize the amount of fat and protein in your meal.

10. Dips that are Keto-Friendly

Large containers of Pimento Cheese and Palmetto Cheese dip are available at Sam’s Club. We enjoy a creamy dip with some fresh vegetables. They make a quick lunch when coupled with ground beef or chicken, and they’re also a great keto starter.

Mayonnaise and refined seed oils are common ingredients in store-bought dips like these, which some people avoid for health reasons. We have a Pimento Cheese recipe on our site if you prefer to create your own. For dipping, use sliced cucumbers or zucchini.

What should you stay away from at Sam’s Club?

Avoid pesto in a bottle.

Sauces with a lot of flavor can easily boost the fat content of any keto meal. Unfortunately, most salad dressings, marinades, and pasta sauces are produced with inflammatory refined vegetable and seed oils. Finding a brand that uses healthy oils like avocado or olive oil may seem unattainable at times, but we believe it is well worth the effort.

The pesto at Sam’s Club was produced with highly refined canola oil. Making your own pesto at home with a healthy cooking oil that is low in Omega-6 fatty acids is recommended. Primal Kitchen is an excellent brand to check for while shopping because they use avocado and coconut oil in all of their sauces.

Avoid soybean and peanut oil.

Oils are a delicate food that can oxidize and turn rancid if heated to high temperatures. When frying, it’s preferable to avoid soybean and peanut oil and instead use animal fats. Tallow or cow fat is the greatest fat for frying, and it’s what most restaurants used until saturated fat was demonized!

We also like to use avocado oil and coconut oil, both of which have a somewhat high smoke point. They are less processed and have healthier omega fatty acid ratios. Coconuts and avocados are inherently fatty fruits, and extracting their fat is simple, whereas removing the fat from soybeans necessitates the use of chemicals and high heat.

Avoid Bulletproof Coffee Cold Brew

Don’t be fooled by the term “bulletproof.” Their Bulletproof Cold Brew contains 20g of carbohydrates per bottle. This is why, especially with “keto” items, you should always check the label! Try our Iced Bulletproof Coffee or go to Starbucks with some MCT Oil for a keto version of cold brew.

If you’re interested in trying Bulletproof’s Collagen Protein Bars, we recommend these. They’re strong in carbs, but they’re made with healthy components. This is the balance we prefer to find while looking for keto protein bars. We’re ready to eat a few extra carbs if it means the label contains fewer processed ingredients.

In conclusion

Sam’s Club is similar to Costco, except it doesn’t feature nearly as many keto-specific things. This membership might be for you if you’re merely searching for a good discount on staples like eggs, dairy, meat, and nuts. We encourage you to take a look and let us know why you prefer Sam’s Club for keto shopping!
