Pork Rind Pancakes | Zero Carb!

I’m led to believe that pork rind pancakes are a type of low carb, high protein pancake. This recipe takes advantage of the crispy texture and savory flavor of these slightly addictive treats.

These “perfect keto pancakes” are made with pork rinds and almond flour. These simple ingredients create a delicious, low-carb, and gluten-free breakfast that is perfect for any diet.

In the Ketconnect family, we love pancakes. There’s nothing like savory, moist, buttery pancakes, and these pork chop pancakes are one of those! They are virtually carbohydrate free (except for the spices) and very hearty. You can prepare them as a main or side dish, or make them in advance for a week.

When Matt first made these pork rind pancakes and I tasted them, it immediately reminded me of the scallop pancakes I used to eat in Chinese restaurants. So, of course, I recommend trying them with extra spices and scallions in the batter to give them even more life! They can be served as a main or side dish, replacing the high-carb corn bread, toast or side dishes you usually eat.

So, are pig rinds safe?

Honestly, it’s not something I personally would eat every day. They’re good for the occasional snack at the movies or while working at the computer, but there are much better sources of fat and protein! I’d say these pork skin pancakes are great as a side dish to already prepared nutritious dishes, like… B. :

Pork rind pancakes, non-carbohydrate

Pancakes with pork rind

Carbohydrate-free pancakes made with pork rind instead of flour.

Total time 30 minutes

For 6 persons (1 pancake per serving)

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 20 minutes


  • Process the pork rinds in a food processor until finely ground.
  • Add baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, oregano, salt and pepper and cheese.
  • Turn until fully integrated.
  • Add the eggs and milk and mix until smooth.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the coconut oil. When the mixture is hot, divide it between the pancakes and press it flat with a spoon to the desired thickness.
  • When the surface starts to bubble, you can turn it over, about 2-3 minutes. Fry the other side for another 30 seconds and set aside. Repeat until all the dough is used.
  • We took 6 medium pancakes.
  • Can be kept for up to 5 days in an airtight container in the fridge!
