I had no idea how many variations there were on the poke theme, just based on the different sauces. We tried at least five different kinds, but found our happiness in the mayonnaise-based spicy sauce and the shoyu soy sauce, which is a soy sauce with seaweed!

A creamy and spicy ahi tuna poke bowl inspired by a trip to Hawaii!

  • Cut the spring mix leaves into small pieces and place in a medium bowl.
  • Add tuna, cucumber, avocado, onion and nuts. Set it aside.
  • Prepare the sauce: Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Pour the warm dressing over the salad mixture and stir with tongs.
  • Place large pieces of tofu on the bottom of a poke serving dish and pour the mixture of seasoned lettuce on top.
  • If desired, chop the seaweed pieces and put them in a bowl with the sesame seeds. Have fun!
